The Office of the eSafety Commissioner’s Online Incident Assessment Tool
The Office of the eSafety Commissioner’s Online Incident Assessment Tool is designed to help schools assess the seriousness (mild, moderate, serious, or severe) of a bullying incident and develop a suitable response. It can support staff to determine an overall incident rating, accounting for the frequency and impact of the incident, as well as types of behaviour displayed. It offers a straightforward starting point and can help staff plan their approach quickly and effectively.

eSmart support meetings
With schools returning to face-to-face learning and a sense of excitement coming back to school communities, this is an excellent opportunity to reconnect with your eSmart journey. Speaking with your eSmart Advisor is a valuable way of getting guidance to progress through the eSmart framework. Furthermore, you can discuss how new practices utilised during remote learning can be used to assist you in 'ticking off' eSmart targets.
Please contact your eSmart Advisor directly to arrange a meeting or email our support team.
Introducing eSmart Stories
We are pleased to launch a new initiative to support your eSmart journey, eSmart Stories.
Whether you are just beginning to implement eSmart, you are at status or now working through the Membership focus areas, eSmart Stories give you an invaluable insight into how other schools are making their schools supportive and connected environments that reduce online and offline bullying.
eSmart Stories provide a great opportunity for any school to share their experiences and celebrate their success, no matter how far you are along the journey. Your experience could contain the idea that other schools have been looking for.
If you have a story to share, please contact your eSmart Advisor or email our support team. A big thank you to Bayswater Primary School (VIC) and Alec Baroni, their eSmart Coordinator, for submitting the first eSmart Story. Read their story here.
eSmart survey
eSmart strives to provide the highest level of service to all eSmart registered schools. To continue supporting you the best we can in 2021, we’d appreciate it if you could take a few minutes to complete our short survey.
Thank you
The eSmart team would like to take a moment to thank the whole eSmart Schools community for continuing to implement eSmart in an extremely challenging year. We greatly appreciate your dedication to the prevention of bullying and cyber bullying within your schools and extended communities.
As always, please contact your eSmart Advisor if you have any queries about your eSmart journey or if you are looking for particular subject matter to provide to students, parents and fellow staff. New resources are regularly added to the library and to the website. eSmart is planning on making next year even bigger and we look forward to working with all our eSmart schools in 2021.
